Carlin Park is a family friendly county-owned park that is easily accessible. Boats are not allowed in Carlin Park so kids can run and swim around, especially during low tide. Bring your camera to capture the colorful fish by the underwater rocks and even pods of dolphins frolicking offshore! All that swimming can make you hungry so don’t forget to visit the nearby restaurant.

Dubois Park

Dubois Park is located north of Carlin Park and is also kid friendly with a lot more area, 19 acres to be exact. You will see numerous places to snorkel once you reach the lifeguard station. You will also see small radiant fishes in small bodies of water that will surely give you an animated experience. The footbridge along Dubois Park will lead you to a vivid underwater view laced with underwater rocks, grunts, corals and, of course, more beautiful fish such as the yellow damselfish. One thing to stay aware of are manatees that tend to hide under the docks.

Coral Clove

Coral Clove Park is a spacious 15-acre park that will surely make you a fish sighting pro in no time. This park is boat friendly and will be guarded by a life guard, just be sure to bring your dive flag. Other ways to reach Coral Cove is by swimming or wading. Once you experience the radiant fish, head up to Blowing Rocks Preserve for another wide selection of fish such as barracudas, eels, sharks and more. You can even head out there on a stormy day to see ocean water gush through the rocks. A sight to see!

Intercoastal Lighthouse

Ideal for kayaking and paddle boarding, the intercoastal lighthouse can be a great experience of discovery. Search for several venues around town for equipment and eliminate stress by parking down the road near the intercoastal. Whether paddle boarding or boating, once you reach the bridge, you will be ready to explore underwater beauty. Take a water taxi or boat to access the locals favorite; peanut island, to experience a large variety of tropical fish.

Catos Bridge

Catos Bridge is a great spot to visit, especially during high tides where there is an abundance of ocean water to swim through. The best side to visit this inlet lighthouse location would be on the western side of the bridge where there is an array of sea life waiting to be explored.
