Reason #212387 why living in South Florida is the best: you can spend the day floating on the Atlantic, downing cold brews and reeling in tonight’s dinner! Not sure what to make with your catch of the day? Here’s a recipe for smoked fish dip, perfect for those fresh-caught fish.

Smoked Fish Dip

Ingredients

  • ½ pound smoked fish, skinless
  •  2 Tbs sour cream or Greek yogurt
  •  4 oz. plain cream cheese
  • 1 tsp horseradish sauce
  •  1 Tbs roasted red pepper, minced
  •  ¼ tsp hoisin sauce
  •  1 tsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  •  Pinch of salt
  •  Black pepper, to taste
  • Other spices optional

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, flake smoked fish. Add sour cream, cream cheese, horseradish sauce, peppers, hoisin sauce and lemon juice.  Use a hand mixer (or a burly arm) to beat until thoroughly combined (about 2 minutes).  Season with salt and pepper to taste – add your favorite spices as necessary. Refrigerate. Serve with crackers or veggies.
