My Favorite Casual Jupiter Restaurants

Whether you’re new to Jupiter or have been hiding out waiting for season to end (I certainly can’t blame you for that), now is the time to get out there and enjoy some great local food! Casual dining restaurants can be hit or miss, but there are several local spots that have made their way onto my list of favorites for one reason or another.

When it comes to dining in the Jupiter area, some of my personal favorites for a casual bite to eat include:

1. Little Moir’s Food Shack:

The Food Shack — as you will learn to call it, if you don’t already — is a small place that serves a fresh menu daily based on their catch-of-the-day.  The atmosphere here is very lively and almost always crowded (yes, even after season ends), so be sure to come prepared to grab a drink and enjoy some live entertainment next door at Maxi’s while you wait… and wait. When you do eventually snag a table, I recommend trying the sweet potato crusted catch-of-the-day. But really, anything you order is sure to be delicious (and worth the wait)!

2. The Thirsty Turtle:

This spot is my go-to for grabbing some cold drinks and sweet and tangy wings after a day at the beach (oh, those wings…). The Turtle is known for their daily happy hours from 2-7 p.m., featuring 75 cent wings, plus specials on clams, beers and other bar drinks.  With outdoor seating on the back deck, feel free to bring Fido as there are always doggie bowls filled with water making sure man’s best friend stays hydrated. Service can be hit or miss, so bring your patience along with your appetite — or do what I do and get your wings to go!

3. Too Bizaare:

Too Bizaare is the perfect place if you’re looking for delicious and fresh sushi served in an eclectic (yet laid back) atmosphere.  In lieu of typical restaurant tables and chairs, Too Bizaare offers comfortable living room couches and chairs to make your dining experience feel more like home — if your home is a quirky art gallery, that is. There’s plenty of unusual art and interesting things on the walls to look at and serve as conversation starters. Although I’d describe it as casual, Too Bizaare can be a great spot to take a date.
