The Pristine Backwoods Of Jupiter, Florida – Riverbend Park

You might not realize this, but Jupiter, Florida has something in its backwoods that will surprise you, and that is Riverbend Park. There are a lot of people who have never been there because they do not go west of I-95. Jupiter has been hiding this gem for years and if you have not been you should take a trip to see it.

Riverbend park has picnic areas that are going to help you feel relaxed and comfortable. This is a great way to spend some time with someone special or just spending by yourself if you just want to get away and unwind. The park has a large area that covers hundreds of acres where you can come to play, relax, enjoy nature. You can walk all the trails, canoe / kayaking, watch wildlife, or make a spot for a picnic with your family. The weather in Florida is great all year but keep in mind in the summer it will rain more in the late afternoon, so try to get there early.

    • Equestrian Parking is available at the park. All vehicles and trailers must be out of the parking area when the park closes.

  • Picnic pavilions – available on a first come, first served basis (no vehicular access to picnic areas – access through hiking or biking)

      • Sits 20-30 people, barbeque grill available
    • Big Hammock Picnic Area
      • Sits 20-30 people, barbeque grill available
    • Cow Pen Picnic Area
      • Sits 35-45 people, barbeque grill available
      • 8 small individual picnic shelters with grills available
  • Picnic pavilion (River), reserved group (1) – located on Picnic Island (vehicular access)
  • Rental concession (closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
    • Bicycle
    • Canoe/kayak
  • Restrooms, port-o-let – available in key locations throughout the park
  • Trails
    • Bicycling and hiking/walking trails (nearly 10 miles of compacted shell rock)
    • Equestrian trails (nearly 7 miles)
  • Waterways (5 miles)
